When riding through Custer National Park, the Peter Norbeck Byway, and Iron Mountain, you never know what lies around the corner. In this video, there was a herd of sheep on the side of the road.
Always take your time when riding through these parts of the country as wildlife on the side of the road is common. This years rally already had a motorcycle caused by three motorcycle riders crashing into a deer.
I have even posted prior blogs on how a cow was grazing in the middle of the road. If you ride at the speed limit or even a few miles below, you should be fine and have plenty of time to react if need be to avoid an accident.
Be safe, and remember, the most important part of the rally is getting home with nothing but miles logged on your motorcycle and stories to tell.
