Georgia Cell Phone Law Starts July 1st

H.B. 673 has been signed into law.

The new Georgia law prohibits use of a cell phone unless it is hands-free. Texting, video recording, and reading from a cell phone is prohibited. Using the GPS is still permitted.

The new law takes effect on July 1, 2018. First time violations is a fine of $150 plus, three points accessed against your driver’s license.
