Daytona Bike Week- Where to Go

Bikinis, beer, and bikes. That is one way to spend your perfect day in Daytona, why not? Daytona Beach is “the world’s most famous beach.” While the weather is too chilly for us Floridians and the water feels like it is freezing, for the northerners, it is beach time! So grab you towel, grab you cooler, and head over to beach and just relax all day soaking up the rays. However, if you want sneak in some riding, there is also plenty of places to go and ride to.

Want to feel like a kid again? Orlando is approximately sixty miles away. Who knows when you will be back, so go visit Mickey, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, or the always fun Universal Studios. Get a park hopper pass to visit all the parks in one day or two.

Ocala National Park is also a quick sixty miles away. The highest concentration of black bear in Florida is found here as well as plenty of wild life. You can go for a quick hike or take a dip in  some of the many crystal clear natural springs such as as Juniper Springs, Alexander Springs, or Silver Glen Springs.

“I ain’t afraid of no ghosts.” You sure about that? Then visit Saint Augustine which is less than sixty miles away from Daytona Beach. Ride your motorcycle through the oldest city in the United States and take a photo op on Aviles Street, the oldest street in the country. Replace the clip clop of hooves with the roar of your Harley as you ride your steel horse into town. If you go to Saint Augustine, make sure to take road A1A.

Have a great time visiting Florida.
